A Chilly Summer

Jessica is really great on the kneeboard. She got a new tube for her birthday, which she shares with everyone. What a great time we have.

Nate has mastered the tube!

Our summer has been so beautiful. We have enjoyed many cool days and a few warm enough to go to the lake. We have loved being together.

Grandma and Grandpa Reid visited us in July, and it looks like Grandpa is king of the tube!

Logan just relaxing!

Grandma making goat milk soap. It smelled wonderful, and turned out really cute.

Amazing Jessica

Jessica is an amazing girl. She loves animals. Our cats think they are the world's greatest hunters, and bring us all kinds of critters. Sometimes they go after baby bunnies, mice, or the mothers of these critters. Our dog Taffy then decides it is her job to protect the injured babies from the cats. Jessica finds them, and attempts to nurse them back to health. Although we have had several funerals, after hours of feeding by eye droppers, it is amazing to see Jessica being so caring to these little animals.
Jessica and her class went to "Mumford Village" an 18th century village near Genese, NY. This is a picture of Jess with her friend Megan.

Nathan had a great time playing with his new kids...until he realized they were more than he could handle. He got hives occasionally and then soon it became every time he snuggled the kids or milked. He was ready to be done with his new hobby...he even tried to give the goats away. They came back a week later. Finally we found a home for them, and Nathan got to keep some of the money from the sale. What a great experience!

Friday morning about 6 a.m. the little girls were born.
They were already dried off but still wobbly when we
found them.

Nate is still working on names...so if you have
any ideas pass them along to him.

Happy Easter!

This little fuzzball is about 12 hours old now.

Mikayla now has a twin!

This little guy is much bigger than his brother.

Nate wanted to sleep in the barn.

Nate has been so excited for the kids to come that he can't sleep at night. Finally on Wednesday night about 7:30 pm the first two were born. They are both bucks. Nate got some snuggling time in before he had to go to bed.

New Adventures in 2009

It took us a few years, but we just found this beautiful waterfall close by our house...

We hope to go back in the summer when it's not so cold!

HERSHEY PARK

(December 26, 2008) Our first time at Hershey Park... We took a tour through the factory and bought about 12 different bags of hershey kisses. The whole building smelled wonderful!

The goofy milk chocolate cows on the tour...they sing the entire time

Mikayla and Jessica were the only ones who wanted to try the chocolate factory (you can package your own kisses) but eventually they got tired of waiting in line...

After we were done with crowds we went driving around and found another cute covered bridge
